Village Issues RFP For First Phase of Public Art Program

February 13, 2026

Respondents should submit their proposals by 4:00 p.m. on Friday, March 13, 2026.

The Village is preparing to implement the first phase of a public art program outlined in the Guiding DG Streetscapes Plan, which was adopted by the Village Council in April 2025.

The Streetscapes Plan calls for flexible amenity areas, shared spaces that support activities such as relaxing, working, exercising, or gathering, and identifies opportunities to reflect community character through cultural references and public art. Construction of the flexible amenity areas is scheduled to begin this summer and includes spaces reserved for public art.

At this time, the Village is accepting proposals from firms, organizations, or artists to coordinate and manage the design and installation of four art pieces in the Downtown. This may include the selection and procurement of existing artwork, the design and fabrication of new artwork, or a combination of both.

Selected firms or individuals are also expected to collaborate with the Village to engage the public through workshops or other strategies that have proven successful in communities implementing public art programs.

The deadline to submit is Friday, March 13, 2026, at 4:00 p.m CST.
