Trick-or-Treating in the Village will be on Friday, October 31, 2025. While there are no prescribed hours, the Downers Grove Police Department recommends trick-or-treating during daylight hours.

Remember, curfew prohibits anyone under 17 years of age to be on the street after 11:00 p.m. on weeknights. 

Safety TIPS

  1. Kids should trick-or-treat with parents or in groups-never alone.
  2. Wear light colored or reflective clothing. Masks should not obstruct vision.
  3. Carry a flashlight after dark.
  4. Stay on sidewalks and never walk in the street.
  5. Cross streets carefully and always at corners-no jaywalking.
  6. Limit trick-or-treating to your immediate neighborhood.
  7. Trick-or-treat only at homes where outside lights are on.
  8. Only accept treats that are wrapped and securely sealed.
  9. Parents, check your child's treats before eating. 
  10. Vandalism is a crime. Halloween is not an excuse to damage or destroy someone else's property
