Project Summary

This project consists of maintenance work on brick streets throughout the Village, including resetting and leveling brick.

2026 Brick Street Maintenance Includes:

1. Oakwood Ave from Prairie Ave to Chicago Ave
2. Linscott Ave from Prairie Ave to Chicago Ave

This project is complete.

PAST UPDATES

May 15, 2026

1. The contractor has finished removal and replacement and re-sanding joints on: Linscott, Middaugh, and Oakwood north of Prairie.
2. The final patch at Middaugh & Warren will be completed early the week of May 18. The joints in that area will also be re-sanded that week. The project is due to be completed by the end of the week.

May 8, 2026

The contractor is continuing their work on Middaugh and Linscott. Any areas that are removed will be replaced the same day.

May 1, 2026

The contractor began work on Oakwood, and will continue on Middaugh and Linscott over the next couple of weeks. Any areas that are removed will be replaced the same day.

April 24, 2026

1. The contractor was delayed by materials being unavailable. They have posted Road Construction Ahead signs.
2. Work should begin the week of April 27th. Any areas that are removed will be replaced the same day.

April 17, 2026

The contract will be commencing work the week of April 20th. Any areas that are removed will be replaced the same day.

April 10, 2026

Work is currently delayed due to the asphalt for patching underneath the bricks being unavailable.

April 3, 2026

Work is expected to begin in the next week or so. Residents have been mailed a construction notice with additional information about the upcoming work.

March 20, 2026

1. The contract was awarded at the March 10th Council meeting.
2. A pre-construction meeting was held with the contractor on 3/17/26. The contractor is expected to begin mobilizing into town around mid-April. The project schedule and street-specific phasing is still being finalized.
