Main Street Improvements

Project Summary

This project began from a safety study in 2019 and has received design approval and funding from IDOT. The scope of work includes reconfiguring the roadway from four-lane undivided roadway to a three-lane roadway with two through lanes, a center two-way turn lane, and bike lanes.

The project location is on Main Street from Franklin Street to Sherman Street. Work will include roadway resurfacing, spot-repair of curb, sidewalk repair/replacement, and installation of decorative lighting. This will also include traffic signal timing and new pavement striping.
