Project Summary
This multi-year project consists of replacing existing sidewalk, curb and gutter at various intersections throughout the Village to gain compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
LATEST UPDATE
October 31, 2025
Contractor has completed the sidewalk and curb and gutter construction. The landscaper completed the site restoration and will be watering the newly placed sod over the next 30 days.
PAST UPDATES
October 17, 2025
- Contractor is expected to pour concrete curbs on the north corners of Prairie/Washington and Prairie/Elm on Friday 10/17.
- The contractor is expected to pour concrete sidewalks on the north corners of Prairie/Washington and Prairie/Elm and place asphalt at the entrances for the Immanuel Residences property and Parking Lot D on Monday.
- Parkway restoration at all sites is expected to be complete by the end of next week.
October 10, 2025
Davis Concrete is working on the Immanuel Residence/Parking Lot D Entrance and the intersections of Forest/Franklin, Bryan/Rogers, Prairie/Washington, and Prairie/Elm. The existing sidewalks have been removed and excavated to sub grade. Davis will place sub-base and pour concrete at these sites next week.

Sod will be placed on Thursday (9/4) at the intersections of Prairie/Douglas, Prairie/Highland, and Rogers and Highland. Tentative construction dates for the remaining sites are the last two weeks of September.
August 29, 2025
Sod will be placed next week at the intersections of Prairie/Douglas, Prairie/Highland, and Rogers/Highland. Tentative construction dates for the remaining sites are the last two weeks of September.
August 22, 2025
Work has been completed at the Prairie/Douglas, Prairie/Highland, and Rogers/Highland intersections. Sod will be placed at these locations later in September after Davis Concrete completes work on the 5 remaining sites.
August 15, 2025
Work has begun at the intersections of Prairie/Douglas, Prairie/Highland, and Highland/Rogers. Contractor plans to work on Saturday 8/16.
August 8, 2025
Removal work will start on 8/8 and replacement work will begin 8/12.
August 1, 2025
Sawcutting will begin August1st or 4th beginning at Douglas/Prairie intersection
July 11, 2025
Project was awarded 7/8.
June 27, 2025
Bids were received 6/25 and are under review.
June 20, 2025
Project is out to bid. Bids due 6/25.
