FIREWORKS DISPLAY CANCELED

In response to the tragic mass shooting that took place earlier today in Highland Park, and consistent with the recommendation of the DuPage County Public Safety Committee and the DuPage County Sheriff's Office to cancel all mass gatherings, the Villages of Downers Grove and Woodridge have made the decision to cancel tonight's 4th of July Fireworks display.

While there is no known threat to Downers Grove or Woodridge, our communities made the decision to cancel tonight's fireworks show out of an abundance of caution and with the safety of attendees in mind. 

On behalf of the Downers Grove and Woodridge communities, we extend our sincerest condolences to the victims and our hearts go out to the entire Highland Park community.
