Police Attempt to Identify Aggravated Battery Suspect

The Downers Grove Police Department is attempting to identify the pictured individual in connection with an Aggravated Battery at Best Buy, 1432 Butterfield Road, Downers Grove, IL. 

The preliminary investigation revealed the suspect attempted to pass counterfeit currency at the store. When police were called to the scene, the suspect fled and subsequently pushed an elderly person to the ground, causing them serious injury. 

The suspect is described as a Black man, approximately 6 feet tall, having a thin build and long dreadlock hair. The suspect appears to have tattoos on both hands.  

The Police Department is asking anyone with information about the incident to contact Detective Dan Montanari at 630-434-5670. 

This incident is actively under investigation by the Downers Grove Police Department, and we are asking the public for assistance.
