Voter Registration
The last day to register or transfer a registration to vote in the General Election is Tuesday, October 8, 2024.
(Mail-in registrations must be postmarked by October 9, 2024.)
REQUIREMENTS FOR REGISTRATION :
- You must be a United States citizen.
- You must be at least 18 years old on or before the next election. (OR for a General Primary, must be 17 and will be 18 by the General Election)
- You must live in your election precinct at least 30 days before the next election.
- You must not currently convicted and serving a sentence.
- You cannot claim the right to vote anywhere else.
- You must provide two (2) forms of identification, one of which must have your correct name and address on it. You do not need a photo ID to register.
GRACE PERIOD REGISTRATION AND VOTING
Illinois law provides individuals who were unable to register to vote or change their address prior to the traditional deadline a "grace period" to register and vote.
Early Voting
Early Voting is ongoing now through November 4, 2024. Use the DuPage County Elections site to find a list of sites OR enter an address on the GIS map to find the closest location to you.
Election Day
November 5, 2024, is the General Election.
On Election Day, voters registered in DuPage County can vote at any polling location in DuPage County.
