Police Respond to Business Burglary

On August 9, 2024, at approximately 4:00 a.m., the Downers Grove Police Department responded to the 1300 block of Ogden Avenue for a report of suspicious persons.
On August 9, 2024, at approximately 4:00 a.m., the Downers Grove Police Department responded to the 1300 block of Ogden Avenue for a report of suspicious persons. Upon arrival, officers observed a broken window at Ogden Tobacco and Vape, 1319 Ogden Avenue. Officers believed that a person was inside the business, who was not responding to police requests to exit. Police set up a perimeter and observed a man run out of the back door of the business.
The man, identified as Tharin Moore (35) of the 9600 Blk of S. Emerald Chicago, Illinois, was taken into custody after a brief foot chase.
Moore, who is currently on parole, has been charged with one count of Burglary (Class 2 felony). He was transported to the DuPage County Jail to await a detention hearing.
