The Downers Grove Fire Department announces the launch of a new online tool to help conduct Home Safety Assessments (HSAs).

HSAs are usually conducted in person by firefighters and help identify potential safety hazards in homes. Firefighters can provide on-the-spot recommendations to reduce identified risks. 


The addition of an online tool will help firefighters reach a larger population, helping the community reduce risks overall. 


The online HSA takes less than a minute to complete and offers users immediate feedback to correct any potential safety risks .
