Chief Michael DeVries has announced the arrest of Armando Romero-Mendoza for Public Indecency. It is alleged that on June 5, 2023, Mr. Romero-Mendoza, while employed as a manager of a restaurant in the 5100 block of Main Street, exposed his genitals to an adult female employee while working at the restaurant.


Armando Romero-Mendoza of Plainfield has been charged with one count of Public Indecency, a class A misdemeanor. Romero-Mendoza was released on bond pending a future court date. 


Members of the public are reminded that these complaints contain only charges and are not proof of the defendant’s guilt. A defendant is presumed innocent and is entitled to a fair trial in which it is the government’s burden to prove his or her guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
