Heavy Snow with Single Digit Temperatures

Very cold pavement temperatures will make salting less effective. Be prepared for snow covered roads with limited visibility and use caution while driving. Allow extra travel time and remember to slow down and increase following distance. Please be patient as crews work throughout the evening and around the clock to keep roads passable.

While we always strive to meet or exceed the performance standards in the Snow and Ice Control Plan, the extreme conditions expected through the night may make achieving these standards challenging. Here's a closer look at the priority rankings of roads in the Village.

• Priority 1: Primary roadways with the highest traffic volume, roadways adjacent to schools, and roadways leading to Good Samaritan Hospital. These streets are targeted for completion 12 hours after the storm's completion.
• Priority 2: All other secondary roadways with average daily traffic are targeted for completion 12 hours after the storm's completion.
• Priority 3: Cul-de-sacs and dead-ends with average daily traffic of less than 200 cars. are targeted for completion 18 hours after the storm's completion.
