2021 Independence Day Fireworks and Parade Update

The Village is very pleased to invite the community to a spectacular Independence Day Fireworks show the evening of July 4th at 75th Street and Lemont Road at 9:30 p.m.

This event is being brought to you by the Village of Downers Grove and the Village of Woodridge. The show provides ample space to enjoy the fireworks and maintain social distancing in a safe manner consistent with guidelines issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Illinois Department of Public Health.  

The traditional Independence Day Parade down Main Street will not take place in 2021. The continuing effects of COVID-19 and the uncertainty regarding changing State of Illinois guidelines do not allow the traditional parade to be conducted practically or safely.
