On January 1, 2023 the Inflation Reduction Act went into effect and included drug price reforms designed to lower health care costs for working families and Medicare beneficiaries. For example, a month's supply of insulin will now be capped at $35 and most recommended vaccines are now free for people with Medicare prescription coverage.
