Armed Robbery- Attempt to Identify

On June 15, 2021, at approximately 2:40 p.m., the Downers Grove Police Department responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Speedway Gas Station, located at 5004 Fairview Avenue.

During the incident a person entered the store and displayed a handgun to an employee. The person then fled the station westbound on foot with proceeds from the robbery. No one was injured during the incident. 

The offender was described as a Black male, 20-30 years old, wearing a white short sleeve shirt, white pants with a stripe, white gym shoes, blue face covering and a long black cloth covering his head. The attached photo shows the offender in the store.

The Police Department is asking anyone with information about the robbery or the identity of the person pictured to contact 630-434-5600.
