Police Investigate Aggravated Battery

Officers located an injured person who stated that he was in a hotel room when he was struck by an individual who was possibly armed with a weapon. The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment of what appeared to be non life-threatening injuries.

The remaining occupants did not respond to initial requests to exit the hotel room. The DuPage County MERIT Metro SWAT Team responded to the scene at approximately 6:50 a.m. Shortly after, one occupant voluntarily exited the room and was detained without incident. SWAT members entered the room and located another person who was detained without incident. Both occupants were transported to the hospital for treatment of what appeared to be non life-threatening injuries.
