This multi-year project consists of replacing existing sidewalk and curb and gutter at various intersections throughout the Village, to gain compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

July 12, 2024

Project is substantially complete. Sod restoration is expected to be completed when temperatures allow.

June 28, 2024

• Concrete sidewalk work is nearly complete at all locations. The remaining corners at the intersection of Maple and Cumnor are expected to be completed by the end of next week, weather pending.
• Asphalt and turf restoration are expected to continue into next week, weather pending.

June 21, 2024

• Removals are nearly complete at all locations. Concrete curb and sidewalk work is complete at all locations on Chicago Ave and Venard Rd and 35th St.
• Concrete curb work is complete at 35th and Pomeroy and all Venard locations.
• Concrete work expected to continue into next week, weather pending. Patching work is expected to continue into next week, weather pending.

June 14, 2024

• Removals are nearly complete at all locations. Concrete curb and sidewalk work is complete at all locations on Chicago Ave. Concrete curb work is complete at 35th and Pomeroy and all Venard locations.
• Concrete work expected to continue into next week, weather pending.

May 31, 2024

Saw cutting as preparation for removal has begun. Sidewalk and curb removal should begin next week, weather pending.

May 24, 2024

Rain has impacted the contractors schedule. Project is now expected to begin next week, weather pending.
