Project Summary

This project will construct a sidewalk on the east side of Saratoga Ave between Grant St. and Sherman St.

LATEST UPDATE

September 15, 2023

• The landscaping contractor visited the site the week of September 11 for restoration work. Sod was prepped and placed.
• Clean up and punch list items will be addressed by the Contractor and inspected in the coming weeks. Any sod that does not establish in a growing, healthy condition will be replaced prior to project closeout.
• Sod establishment/survivability is the responsibility of the contractor and residents are not required to water the sod.

PAST UPDATES

July 14, 2023

Retaining walls have been installed. Final restoration will occur in September.

July 7, 2023

Retaining walls will be installed at the end of the week of 7/5. Final restoration will occur in September.

June 30, 2023

The school driveway and asphalt patches were installed on 6/26. The installation of the retaining walls has been delayed.

June 23, 2023

Contractor is installing growth inhibiting erosion control blanket on the restoration areas and will be returning in September to install sod in those areas. The school driveway asphalt and asphalt patches on Saratoga Ave will be installed on 6/26, weather pending. Retaining walls will be installed the week of 6/26.

June 16, 2023

Contractor has completed all sidewalk and curb installation. Retaining walls and asphalt work will be completed the week of June 19 with restoration to follow, weather pending.

June 9, 2023

Contractor will start mobilization efforts Friday 6/9. Work to commence on 6/13 with demolition and excavation. Sidewalk framing and pouring to follow, weather pending.

May 26, 2023

Contractor will begin mobilizing the week of 6/5 with construction to follow.

May 5, 2023

Contract was awarded to vendor at the May 2, 2023, Village Council meeting.
