Project Summary

This project consists of improvements to sidewalk, curb and gutter at various intersections to modernize pedestrian access routes and bring them into compliance with the most recent Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) regulations.

LATEST UPDATE

July 14, 2023

Utility manhole at Prairie and Forest has been adjusted and concrete sidewalk has been poured. Project is substantially complete. Clean up and restoration to follow.

PAST UPDATES

July 7, 2023

• The contractor completed concrete work at the sidewalk corners along Prairie Avenue: Forest, Prince, Linscott, and Pershing.
• A conflict with a utility manhole at the southeast corner of Forest and Prairie has delayed completion of work. Manhole adjustment is expected to take place over the next few weeks, after which the remaining sidewalk will be poured.

June 30, 2023

• A conflict with a utility manhole at the southeast corner of Forest and Prairie has delayed completion of work. Manhole adjustment is expected to take place over the next few weeks, after which the remaining sidewalk will be poured.

June 16, 2023

• The contractor continued work at the sidewalk corners along Prairie Avenue: Forest, Prince, Linscott, and Pershing.
• The week of 6/19 will continue with sidewalk removals at the southeast corner of Forest and Prairie, and pouring concrete at that location as well as at the Northwest corner of Linscott and Prairie.
• Restoration activities, including modular block retaining wall work, will continue.

June 9, 2023

Contractor has begun work on the second phase of locations along Prairie avenue. Removal work is expected to continue into next week, weather pending

June 2, 2023

The first round of locations are substantially complete. Work on the next round of locations on Prairie Ave is expected to begin in early June, weather pending.
