Open House Offers a Closer Look at Adopted Guiding DG Plans

Visitors will be able to learn more about the plans in an informal setting.
The Village will host two Open House sessions on Tuesday, April 22 to familiarize the community with three of the four Guiding DG Plans that were adopted by the Village Council on April 8, 2025:
- Environmental Sustainability Plan
- Streetscapes Plan (Downtown and Fairview Focus Area)
- Active Transportation Plan
The sessions will be held in the Betty Cheever Council Chambers at the Civic Center, 850 Curtiss St.
Community members are invited to attend the session of their choice:
- Session 1: 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
- Session 2: 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Key elements of each plan will be on display, and Village staff will be available to answer your questions.
The Guiding DG project began in December 2023. Adoption of the three plans marks the completion of a significant portion of the Guiding DG initiative, which also includes the Comprehensive Plan, scheduled for completion this summer.
Together, the four plans will position the Village for long-term growth while enhancing livability, transportation options, public spaces, and environmental sustainability.
