Police Ask For the Public’s Assistance in Identifying Battery Suspect

UPDATE 11/18/25: DuPage County State’s Attorney Robert Berlin, Hinsdale Chief of Police Brian King, Downers Grove Chief of Police Michael DeVries and Darien Chief of Police Greg Thomas announced today that Judge Jeffrey MacKay has granted the State’s motion to detain pre-trial a Willowbrook man accused of attempting to sexually assault a woman in Hinsdale and grabbing women in Downers Grove and Darien.

On November 7, 2025, at approximately 2:59 p.m., the Downers Grove Police Department responded to the 5400 block of Brookbank Road between Maple Avenue and 55th Street for a report of a 46-year-old female jogger who was approached by a man who grabbed the victim’s hips. The victim screamed, and the man fled back to a vehicle and left the area.
The offender is described as a Black man in his early to mid-thirties, approximately 5’11” in height with short black hair. He was wearing a navy blue T-shirt with “SAS” in white letters on both the front and back, black pants, and bright white Nike Air Max shoes. The offender entered a dark gray, four-door sedan with a silver emblem on the back. (Pictures of the offender and vehicle are located on page 2).

Residents in the area of the incident are asked to check any home surveillance video systems for footage of the offender or vehicle.
