Police Department Investigates Armed Robbery

On February 25th, 2023 at approximately 8:39 p.m. the Downers Grove Police Department responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Ashyana Banquets 1620 75th Street. The preliminary investigation indicated that a suspect armed with a handgun approached three men in the parking lot and pointed a handgun at them, demanding their personal property. The suspect left the area on foot running southbound towards 75th Street.
The suspect is described as a Black man, approximately 5'09" tall, 180 pounds, wearing a black ski mask, black pants and a black puffy coat.
