- Residents in need of emergency shelter due to extreme cold can call 911. Transportation to a warming center will be provided if needed. This service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including holidays.
- Other warming centers are open on a daily basis. Check the DuPage County 211 site.
- Please remember to check on the well being of friends and neighbors during severe weather conditions.

Signs of Cold Weather Exposure
Seek medical attention if you are displaying these signs after exposure to the cold
- Uncontrollable shivering
- Memory lapses
- Slurred speech
- Immobile or fumbling hands
- Stumbling and apparent exhaustion; inability to get up after rest
