Update - Charge Filed in Shooting Incident

Downers Grove Police Chief Shanon Gillette announced that Daniel T. Holous, 47, of  the 6600 block of Main Street in Downers Grove has been arrested and charged with Reckless Discharge of a Firearm in violation of 720 ILCS 5/24-1.5a. The charge alleges that on October 13, 2020, Holous discharged a firearm in a reckless manner which endangered the bodily safety of an individual. The investigation determined that this was an isolated incident.   

A warrant was issued for Holous and he turned himself in at the police department on October 20, 2020. He posted a $10,000 cash bond (10% of $100,000), and was released with a court date of November 16, 2020 in Wheaton, IL.

Members of the public are reminded that this complaint contains only charges and is not proof of the defendant's guilt.  A defendant is presumed innocent and is entitled to a fair trial in which it is the government's burden to prove his or her guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
