Weekend Weather/Snow Operations

The Village will be under a Winter Storm Warning from late Friday night through 6:00 p.m. Saturday, February 1, 2014. Light snow will begin Friday afternoon. The snow will increase in intensity early Saturday morning and may mix with sleet later in the day. The snow is expected to end by early Saturday evening, with up to 8-10 inches or more of total accumulation.

Village Response

Plowing operations are in full force and will continue throughout the weekend.   A salt delivery has been made and the Village has an ample supply.  Please drive carefully in these conditions and understand that everyone's safety is the Village's top priority as we clear snow from roads as quickly as possible.

Winter Reminders

Residents are reminded of the following:

  • Parking on streets is prohibited between 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. when 3 or more inches of snow have fallen.  Accessible fire hydrant
  • It is against village ordinance to shovel, place, or blow snow or ice onto the street, sidewalk or any right-of-way.
  • Please remember to be a good neighbor and shovel your sidewalk and any nearby fire hydrants, if you are able.   
  • Please keep fire hydrants accessible and shovel out an area around them, if you are able.
