Suspects Arrested for Felony Burglary

On October 24, 2012, Downers Grove Police were called to the Home Depot Store located at 2000 Butterfield Road in regards to suspicious activity.  Two suspects had been identifed by Home Depot Loss Prevention as being involved in numerous thefts during business hours that occurred over an approximate two year period, resulting in an estimated loss of $150,000.  A search warrant executed by Downers Grove Police Investigators linked the two suspects to additional stolen merchandise and sales of that merchandise on an online auction site.

Members of the public are reminded that these complaints contain only charges and are not proof of guilt.  The arrested persons are presumed innocent and are entitled to a fair trial in which it is the government's burden to prove his or her guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.

Downers Grove Police Chief Robert A. Porter has announced the arrest of two adult suspects charged with Felony Burglary.
