Downers Grove Police Chief Robert A. Porter today announced the arrests of four suspects in connection with recent residential burglaries that occurred throughout the village.
On September 7, 2012, officers responded to the 5500 block of Lyman Avenue for two citizen reports of multiple people attempting to gain entry into a residence. The citizens indicated that they had received the community notification on August 31, 2012, regarding residential burglaries and contacted police after observing the activity. Police on patrol nearby quickly apprehended the individuals.

- One other suspect was released without charges. Additional charges are pending in the matter.
The individuals are linked to several residential burglaries throughout the village and a number of other communities. No further details are available at this time as the investigation is ongoing. Members of the public are reminded that these complaints contain only charges and are not proof of guilt. The arrested persons are presumed innocent and are entitled to a fair trial in which it is the government's burden to prove his or her guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
Chief Porter would like to thank the Downers Grove Community for their assistance in bringing these individuals to justice.
