The Village of Downers Grove has implemented the Connect-CTY community-wide notification system.
The Connect-CTY service allows the Village to record and send personalized voice messages across the community in just minutes, through a single phone call. Publicly available primary residential and business phones in Downers Grove have automatically been included in the system.
“The Connect-CTY service enhances our current emergency preparedness and response plans, giving us the power to not only notify residents of time-sensitive situations, but also provide them with important information, directions and updates,” said Mayor Ron Sandack.
Residents should visit the Village website, click on the One-Step Notification web banner and follow the prompts to register your contact information. Residents and businesses are also encouraged to visit the same link to register additional devices (up to three phone numbers and two e-mail addresses) by which to be contacted.
If you do not have Internet access you may correct/add information by calling the Community Response Center at (630) 434-CALL (2255).
Residents with call blocking services can make sure to receive the Village’s time-sensitive calls by adding (630) 434-5500 to their approved number list.
