Project Summary

The purpose of the project is to thoroughly study traffic issues in the neighborhood bounded by Ogden Ave. to the north, Main St. to the east, Warren Ave. to the south and Lee Ave. to the west. Analysis of the data gathered from this study will result in a set of physical and operational recommendations that will improve intersection controls, address parking and access needs, and minimize the potential for accidents.

The Village authorized contractor for the project is KLOA, Inc. of Rosemont, Il.  Data collection and analysis will include temporary electronic traffic counters as well as manual pedestrian and vehicular counts at intersections.  Roadway measurements, intersection layouts and parking data will also be examined.
