Village Manager David Fieldman
David Fieldman was appointed as Village Manager on October 7, 2008.
Prior to his appointment, he served as Deputy Village Manager since June of 2005 and played key roles in the construction of the new Fire Station 2, the development and implementation of the Watershed Infrastructure Improvement Plan, and Acadia on the Green in Downtown Downers Grove. He also has overseen positive changes within the Community Development Department that have reduced permit review times and improved the experience for customers.
Mr. Fieldman’s other municipal experience includes positions with the Village of Palatine, Illinois as the Deputy Village Manager, the Director of Planning and Economic Development and the Planning and Zoning Administrator. He has a Bachelor of Arts and Master’s Degree in Urban Planning from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.
