Comprehensive Planning Ad Hoc Committee

The Village Council established the Comprehensive Planning Ad Hoc Committee at the March 22, 2016, meeting. Nine adhoc committee members have been appointed. The goals of the adhoc committee are to provide oversight of the 5 year Comprehsive Plan update and review the Downtown zoning regulations.

Powers and Duties of the Subcommittee

The general purpose and duty of the Committee shall be to:

  1. Hold regular meetings to discuss and update the Comprehensive Plan and discuss and update Downtown Zoning regulations;
  2. Recommend to the Village Council, by simple majority, the inclusion of the 63rd Street sub-area and 75th Street sub-area into the Comprehensive Plan;
  3. Recommend to the Village Council, by simple majority, a draft 5 Year Update to the Comprehensive Plan no later than December 31, 2016;
  4. Recommend to the Village Council, by simple majority, draft amendments to the Downtown Zoning regulations no later than December 31, 2016; and
  5. Perform any additional duties and tasks as the Village Council may from time to time direct.

The public is encouraged to attend and participate in the Comprehensive Planning Adhoc Committee meetings, which will be held on the following Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. at Village Hall, 801 Burlington Ave:
