Recent Progress

10/26/2018
Locations where sod did not survive were removed, replaced, and watered on October 23. This new sod will continue to be monitored for establishment.

Sod will continue to be watered through the establishment period. Punch list items have been completed.

Sod will continue to be watered through the establishment period. It is the responsibility of the contractor to water the sod. Residents will not be asked or expected to water or mow during its establishment period. Miscellaneous "punchlist" items such as sweeping and removing traffic control have been completed.

9/21/2018
Detector loops were cut in at Ogden on Wednesday, 9/19. Specialty curb was installed on 9/20. Sod installation is expected to begin on Friday, 9/21 and continue into Saturday and the week of 9/24. All traffic control including signs and barricades have been requested to be picked up. After sod is installed, it is the responsibility of the contractor to water the sod. Residents will not be asked or expected to water or mow during its establishment period.

9/14/2018
Remaining work includes specialty curb, detector loops, and sod installation. The work has been suspended in order to wait for <80 degree temperatures per IDOT specifications for sod placement. When temperatures are in range, all remaining work will be completed. It is the responsibility of the contractor to water the sod and residents will not be asked or expected to water or mow during its establishment period.

9/7/2018
Topsoil and landscape restoration prep was performed on Monday and Tuesday 8/27 and 8/28. Sod installation and remaining miscellaneous items including specialty curb will be completed when temperatures are less than 80 degrees per IDOT specifications for sod placement. It is the responsibility of the contractor to water the sod and residents will not be asked or expected to water or mow during its establishment period.

The contractor applied permanent road striping on Saturday, 8/25.

Next week
Miscellaneous items including specialty curb and landscape restoration prep are expected to be scheduled. Due to hot temperatures, IDOT specifications state that sod cannot be placed in the month of August. The landscaper will be onsite in September when temperatures are less than 80 degrees to install the sod. It is the responsibility of the contractor to water the sod and residents will not be asked or expected to water or mow during its establishment period.

This week, the contractor finished paving the surface asphalt on August 22. Permanent road striping is expected to be applied on Saturday, August 25.

This week
The contractor paved leveling binder on the mainline on Monday, August 13th. In-pavement structures were adjusted on Tuesday and Wednesday, August 14th and 15th. Surface asphalt was placed on the mainline on Thursday, August 16th. Detector loops at Franklin are expected to be cut into the level binder on Friday, August 17th.

Next week
The contractor is expected to pave the remaining areas, including side streets, on Monday or Tuesday, August 20th or 21st. Permanent road striping is expected to be applied the following day. With school in session, the contractor is limited to work only between the hours of 9AM and 2PM. Throughout this work, the landscaper may be onsite preparing restoration areas, filling in areas behind curb and sidewalk, and spreading topsoil. Due to hot temperatures, IDOT specifications state that sod cannot be placed in the month of August. The landscaper will be onsite in September when temperatures are less than 80 degrees to install the sod. It is the responsibility of the contractor to water the sod and residents will not be asked or expected to water or mow during its establishment period.

8/10/2018

This week
The contractor poured sidewalks on Monday and Tuesday. The road grinding took place on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday with the mainline getting paved in phases: Franklin to Lincoln on Tuesday, Lincoln to Ogden on Wednesday, and the side streets on Thursday. Asphalt driveways and road patching is expected to take place on Friday, August 10th.
Next week
The first layer of asphalt is expected to be paved throughout the project on Monday, August 13th. In-pavement structures and traffic signal detector loops are expected to be adjusted and installed on Tuesday, August 14th. Surface asphalt will tentatively be placed on Wednesday and Thursday, August 15th and 16th. Throughout this work, the landscaper may be onsite preparing restoration areas, filling in areas behind curb and sidewalk, and spreading topsoil. Due to hot temperatures, IDOT specifications state that sod cannot be placed in the month of August. The landscaper will be onsite in September when temperatures are less than 80 degrees to install the sod. 8/3/2018
This week
The contractor continued curbline structure adjustments on July 30. Curb and sidewalk removals finished on July 31. On August 1, curb and driveway concrete pouring was started and on August 2, concrete pouring continued.
Next week
All remaining concrete is expected to be poured and road grinding will begin as early as August 6. The first layer of new asphalt is expected to be paved by the end of the week.

This week
The contractor initiated concrete removal and replacement. 
Next week
Concrete removal and replacement will continue. All concrete work is expected to be completed prior to Thursday, August 2. Asphalt milling is expected to take place August 2 and 3. 

7/20/2018
The contractor began a cutting all concrete work in anticipation of starting removals on July 23. Residents whose driveway access will be impacted received a hand-delivered flier on July 18.

7/13/2018
The contractor will be sawcutting starting on Monday, July 16, in anticipation of concrete removal and replacement (curb, sidewalk, driveway aprons) later in the week.

The contractor will be posting informational signing week of July 9 to alert residents of upcoming work. Construction activities expected to begin week of July 16, starting with curb and sidewalk work.
