Food and Beverage Tax

On Tuesday, July 18, 2017, the Village Council adopted a 1% Food and Beverage Tax, effective January 1, 2018. The tax is expected to generate $1.5 million per year to fill the gap created by recent declines in both sales and income tax revenue. The tax applies to the purchase price of prepared foods and non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages for immediate consumption, as well as packaged alcohol sales. Read more...

Mosquito Spray Scheduled for August 14

Clarke Mosquito Control will spray for adult mosquitoes on Monday, August 14, 2017, weather permitting.
