Here is an updated list of road closures as of 12:30 p.m. due to high water:

 

  • Highland Avenue from 31st. Street south of Barneswood
  • Barneswood is also closed with no access to Highland Avenue 
  • Fairview Avenue between Sheldon and Franklin near Hummer Park
  • Curtiss Street between the 2300 & 2500 block
  • Lee Avenue at the 5200 block
  • 41st & Glendenning
  • Webster at the 5700 block  

 

Motorists are reminded that road closures are marked with orange barricades and to avoid driving around barricades and through high standing water. The Village will continue to monitor low lying areas as rain is expected throughout the day and into the evening hours.

 

 

Annual Report 2017

Voter Registration

Tuesday, February 20, 2018, is the last day for in-person registration or to transfer registration for the March 20, 2018, General Primary Election. To register, you must be 18 years of age on or before the election, be a citizen of the United States and a legal resident of DuPage County.  Two forms of identification with current address are needed. Communicate directly with the Village and report issues quickly with the new Downers Grove Community Response Center (DG CRC) App. Submit requests for service, receive automatic updates, make online payments, and more with your iPhone or Android device. Avoid IRS Scams This Tax Season

The Downers Grove Police Department would like to alert our citizens about IRS scams associated with the tax season. Scammers, claiming to be IRS agents, have been aggressive and threatening to victims. Victims are contacted by phone and told they have outstanding taxes due. The victim is threatened with a police arrest, deportation, having their drivers licenses revoked or other actions. Read more...
